It's already been underway for awhile. Expect more al-Maliki whining.

From Strategy Page last week...

December 28, 2006: Without much fanfare, much less a press release, the government and Coalition troops have gone to war with Moqtada al Sadrs Mahhi Army militia. Leaders are being arrested or killed. The raids are being carried out with overwhelming speed and force, so that pro-Sadr gunmen have little chance to put up effective resistance. Some of the raids are in support of an effort to find five civilian security contractors (four Americans and an Austrian), who are held by a Shia militia for ransom, or political purposes. No one is sure, and that apparently includes the kidnappers. The five men were seized six weeks ago.

And hopefully Moqtada al Sadr is Number One on the 'hit' parade!

Yup. Interesting that we captured documents though that showed Iran also funding Sunni backed terrorists there too. Iran is gonna have to go as well.

And I won't shed a tear if some Sunni politicos hurl insults at him as he hangs. Unlike some freepers.

Makes sense, as they funded and/or planned the Khobar Towers bombings.

Hope Mookie is reveling in the fact that his virgins are a-coming, or maybe he'll give up again after all those in front of him are dead.

"As France foresaw and feared, the war in Iraq caused upheavals whose effects have not yet finished unravelling,"

You take care of your own Muslims, and we'll take care of ours.

Yep. A big mistake. One in need of correction.

Exactly - whacked him back in Najaf before his militia got so large. Just like not going into Fallujah the first time. We'd better learn a lesson - leave the scum alone to deal with later doesn't work, it just festers and grows like a cancer and is much harder to eradicate later.

"IRAQ'S MOST WANTED IRAQ'S Mahdi Army - the radical Shia militia founded by the young firebrand cleric Muqtada al-Sadr - probably has just a few thousand fighters."

Now that 9,000 of our finest are being shipped out to destroy them, their number has suddenly been reduced from 20,000 and rapidly growing
to "just a few thousand"?

What crap.

Racism, Thy Name Is Pork Soup
by LordDilly

A French nationalist group called Solidarity of the French (SDF) recently came under fire for handing out "pig soup," which uses pork fat for stock, to the homeless of Paris. Police banned the SDF's soup kitchen in December stating that handing out pig soup discriminated against Jews and Muslims who do not eat pork on religious grounds.
French courts overruled the Police ban, allowing the SDF to continue offering pig soup. The courts said that while offering pig soup was "clearly discriminatory," the organizers offered to feed anyone who asked for help. The mayor of Paris condemned the ruling, saying, "Faced by this initiative which stinks of xenophobia, I want once again to express city hall's desire to fight all forms of discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism."
The city of Paris has been rocked by civil unrest during the last year and a half, starting with rioting and burning of hundreds of cars by immigrant Muslim youths in Paris suburbs.

If they catch him he'll get a private cell, hot and cold running water, air-conditioning, three meals a day, a choice view of the Gulf and an pro Deo ACLU lawyer at Guantanamo. And he'll still be bitching.

How much easier would this be if we had taken out Mookie a while back when we had the chance?

More uncomfortable questions:

- If we had taken Mookie out, would this current operation be necessary?

- How many of our guys have died because we didn't take him out?

Politically Correct squishiness is NOT the way to win a war. Especially against an enemy as rabid as this one.
