Do any FReepers ever debate these idiots, or is that just a lost cause and monitoring is the best we can hope for in seeing into their psyche?

An occasional FReeper will infiltrate and do a little gentle teasing, but you can't really debate people who are insane. And they monitor their site for posters who aren't nuts. Anyone who utters anything logical or--govt forbid--conservative is prompted booted from the web site.

We, on the other hand, allow liberals to post as long as they are polite and attempt to present their points logically. There are a couple of pet trolls on FR who are affectionately tolerated because they're polite and their attempts to post logically are very funny.
