Is he conscious? Talking? Aware of what has happened this week with respect to his position in the senate?

He's probably been dead for a month.

1/3/07 Senator Johnson’s overall medical condition has improved steadily over the past three weeks. The next phase of his recovery is expected to take several months and focus upon rehabilitation and physical therapy.

If he is still in intensive care, it is beginning to sound like he is brain dead.

The governor needs to replace him.

WTH is this? How can they choose somebody who is obviously an invalid (at this time at least)? Additionally, how can the Dims be sure that Sen. Johnson will be up to the job when he returns.

Remember the Dim demands that Chief Justice Rehnquist resign after he fell ill? What's good for the goose and all that....

Shhhwang.

This then is the real-time reprisal of Blake Edwards' 1981 flick "S.O.B."

Who's weirder: Hollywood or Democrats?

There is absolutely NO hope of Johnson regaining his faculties. Therefor, I call for Johnson to be starved to death immediately. He's actually unresponsive to stimuli and therefor starvation won't be painful. I'm sure you all agree that we need to starve these people to death!!

"will lose none of his rights during his absence"

This, in a nutshell, is what is wrong with our elected representatives. They are privileges not rights.

I heard yesterday, that Sen Robert Byrd almost collapsed on the Senate floor and was "caught" by Rockefeller before totally falling to the floor. However, he did regain his composure. I only heard one blurb on the radio, so I assume the media is suppressing this story. The Dems have to be very worried with all their old-timers giving them the majority.

Democrats are always elected by zombies, It seems only fair that they occasionally appoint one to an important committee.

Senator, blink twice if you approve of SB 9002, a bill to authorize the Department of Defense to restrict the purchase of Olive Drab skivvies to American manufacturers and to ban the purchase of items made offshore. (:^*)

This is an appropriate note on which to open the new Democrat-controlled Congress, "The lights are on, but nobody's home."
