Sorry to be so flippant in my post, but Iraq has been argued to death.

I was seriously asking if you guys will run Pat.

You should, really and sincerely.

I would love to see what he has got, once in office.

I was never a big supporter of Pat for office. I did vote for him in a primary, but I would prefer someone with real governing experience.

About the most "governing" experience that Pat has is running his journal.

I really wish that Lawton Chiles hadn't beat out Jeb in his first run at the Florida statehouse. Then maybe Jeb would have been president. He's a bit more traditionally conservative in my mind than George who appears to be more radical in his support of worldwide democracy and "compassionate" conservatism.

Now it seems that a Jeb candidacy is too "politically" incorrect. I'm leaning toward Guiliani for all his governing experience even though he is a leftist on social policy. If we had a Republican congress and Giuliani for president that might be the best match: a professional executive prevented from enacting leftist reforms by a Republican majority.
