I should have placed a sarcasm tag on my post.

InfoPlease has Pelosi listed as "The Vice President"

I was only pointing out this glaring error.

"Screw the both of you!"....

I agree. They wonder why WV votes the way that it does while spewing prejudice and hatred toward its residents. They go on and on about Byrd's pork, but don't mention that it is dwarfed by Ted Steven's(R-AK) pork. Then Bush shows up prior to every election and makes promises that he doesn't keep.

And they wonder why there is little goodwill for the GOP in WV.

Did you know that the tooth brush was in invented in West Virginia?

If it had been invented anywhere else, it would be called the teeth brush

From sources:

Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., was sworn in with some zeal. Byrd turns 90 this year and is the longest-serving member of the current Senate. After he was sworn in by Vice President Dick Cheney, he pumped his fist and yelled, "So help me God!"

After that, Byrd started to collapse. He was caught by his West Virginia colleague, Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller, and other senators standing nearby.

Byrd didn't miss a step as he then walked back to his desk, giving a loud "Hallelujah!" to the crowd.

Thank you for your eloquent post about WV. I was just too p'ed off. I just get so sick and tired of the same old cracks about the state. Me thinks they are a bit jealous. That's ok, it's our secret, everyelse can stay out!!!

The fact that Pelosi and Byrd are second and third in line for the presidency makes us worry about President Bush and Vice President Cheney's security detail.

I do not believe for one second that the Democrats would hesitate to have both Bush and Cheney killed if they thought they could arrange it so that they could get away with it.

That and he is still 100x more conservative than our GOP senator to the north, Arlen Specter.

Last election, the choice was between Byrd and a millionare playboy who was not well liked. With his seniority, Byrd would be able to accomplish things for the state. As a junior senator, his competitor's only accomplishment would have likely been embarassing the state with his widely known nose problem.

Like speaking high school French in France, it wasn't a good idea. The blue-doors I knew only used Gullah when the tour buses showed up.

Was Tim Johnson sworn in yesterday? If not, then how could the dims take control of the Senate and place Byrd as President Pro-Tempore?

I could be wrong, but I don't believe he had to be sworn in since he's a sitting senator and wasn't up for re-election in November.

I do not think that the Democrats wants Bush and Cheney killed anymore than the Republicans wanted Clinton and gore Dead in the 1990's.

We live in a civilized democracy not some third world tyrannical state where leaders are disposed of on a regular basis.
