I had never heard that Mort is an alcoholic, or to quote muawiyah, a "drunk." Mort went through a lot of grief with his wife who had Parkinson's, and possibly he drank more than he should have, but I never heard anything about it before muawiyah posted it. IMO it was unfair for someone to post this without proof.
Agree; and even further. . .unfair to post this as a 'slap' against someone we know to be a decent person. Unfair. . .and unwarrented.

I can't give you any proof but I do remember seeing a program on tv recently about him and his sick wife and how he had such a bad drinking problem that it was interefering with his work.
Do your own research.
Frankly, I didn't know about any of it until I saw Morton being interviewed on a television show about his book about Milly, his wife, and he went into alcohol and alcoholism at some length.
