Be careful of what you wished for. The last time I was in Paris, the place smelled and looked like a sewer, there were gangs of intimidating hoodlums openly roaming the streets and I was offered a prostitute by four different pimps in the course of an hour.

Sounds like the Paris I know. That Paris was at 3 AM and 40 years ago. Is it like that during the daytime now?
I don't know, Paris is still pretty nice IMO. And the food is great. If they throw in a "legal right to good food" as well as the housing I'd be willing to make a deal :)
