Rangel was so eager to bounce Cheney from the office, he phoned new House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) less than 12 hours after the polls closed to get her approval. That Rangel is one class act.
To: cf_river_rat
He wants to make sure that everyone knows who it is they should be bribing during the year of Pelosi.

May the President of the Senate remember the gesture.
And with Pelosi now in the line of succession, pray for Cheney's health as well as the health of the President. Pray hard.

Is there any chance that Rangel will get what is coming to him in this life? He is just about as dirty as they come. And stupid to boot.

LOL, well the Conservative establishment did ask voters for Rangel as Chairman, sure hope those Republicans and Conservatives got the message!

When I heard this on Fox and Friends this morning, I thought to myself how childish and immature can some people be.....
Here this low life New York REP RAT kicks the Vice-President of the United States, (second in command) out of a room this low life RAT thinks he needs....
I do hope that all those Republicans that wanted to 'show us what for' end up loving every minute of this crap they have put the United States in. God Bless our President and our Troops and us to...

Silly question - why does the President of the Senate have permanent office space assigned that the Capital that is outside of the realm of these kinds of political shenanigans? (R) or (D) the VP should have a space that is not subject to the ebb and flow of House or Senate majority status. Ridiculous.
And how is it that the President of the Senate ... the senior member of Congress ... can be displaced by anyone short of POTUS? It is amazing to me that a committe chairman from the junior house can 'pull rank' on the presiding officer of the senior house. I think Cheney should show up every day at the Capitol and assume his seat, call the Senate to order and bask in the deafening silence that is typical of the 3 day work week of our elected legislature.
Say what you will, but this would be just as egregious had it been done by a Republican - and if it was done by Newt and his crew when they took the House in '94 then they should be called to the carpet as well.

"Is there any chance that Rangel will get what is coming to him in this life? He is just about as dirty as they come. And stupid to boot."Look around the Harlem neighborhood, and he's the BEST they have to offer?
That includes the "former asshat-in-chief", whose token office in Harlem was and is a joke for the "first black President"....although, the "first black President" did marry a blonde woman (so-called).....
To: cf_river_rat
Harlem heavyweight? Does that refer to obesity? Try Harlem airhead, or Harlem crook.

This is excellent news: (1) Cheney could care less and it has zero impact on his effectiveness in the Senate, (2) it shows that the Democrat leadership is focused on trivialities, showboating and score-settling.
That is precisely the attitude we want them to display.
To: Arpege92
They should've taken the Rs off all the keyboards.
