As the Talking Heads once put it, "(he's) talking a lot but (he's) not saying anything. Say something once. Why say it again?" And didn't James Brown once sing about "Just Talkin'
trash and sayin' nothin'?"

meanwhile, "breaking news" from Herald. And remember folks
the guy being mentioned in this web piece is the subject of a Howie poll that has 91 per cent of respondents saying he should be in jail! :)

WRKO owner Entercom Communications plans to move forward with talks to sign former House speaker Thomas Finneran to a morning talk radio host deal, despite Finneran’s reported plans to plead guilty to obstruction of justice charges, an outside spokesman for the radio station operator told the Herald.

"(Entercom regional chief) Julie Kahn has a great deal of respect for Tom Finneran and thinks he would be terrific on the radio and would look forward to working with him on WRKO," said George Regan, a spokesman for Entercom.

Entercom plans to go forward with a meeting with Finneran - scheduled for before news of a plea deal surfaced - aimed at hammering out a deal that would give the once-powerful speaker the morning drive time slot on WRKO (AM-680).

Entercom would not be deterred by a guilty plea to the federal charges stemming from sworn testimony he made in 2003 in a civil suit pertaining to legislative redistricting.

Finneran could not be reached for comment. A source close to Entercom said he is interested in the job.

If a deal is signed, Finneran, who has done fill-in work at WRKO, would apparently be poised to take over the WRKO morning slot currently occupied by Scott Allen Miller.
Miller declined to comment.

I don't much care for Scotto, but this still seems like shabby treatment.
