I don't believe the Founders would have much tolerance for a group that wanted to impose Sharia law on the country.

Thomas Jefferson clearly didn't have much tolerance toward the Barbary pirates, and refused to pay tribute to avoid piratry versus U.S. merchant vessels. But Jefferson and most of the Founders thought that the First Amendment applied equally to Muslims, Jews and other non-Christians in America, and that a Muslim could become Congressman or even President, if the people were to elect them.
