HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THURSDAY TO 10 PM PST

FRIDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN DIEGO HAS ISSUED A HIGH SURF
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THURSDAY TO 10 PM PST FRIDAY.

A POWERFUL STORM MOVING DOWN THE CALIFORNIA COAST WILL GENERATE LARGE
SURF ALONG SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA BEACHES THURSDAY EVENING THROUGH FRIDAY.

SURF WILL INCREASE TO 4 TO 8 FEET THURSDAY EVENING AND PEAK AT 6 TO
10 FEET EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. THE SURF WILL SUBSIDE SLOWLY FRIDAY AND

FRIDAY NIGHT. BEACHES SOUTH OF DEL MAR AND THOSE FACING THE WEST
AND NORTHWEST WILL BE IMPACTED BY THE HIGHEST WAVES.

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN THE
ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING RIP CURRENTS AND LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION.
RIP CURRENTS WILL BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR SWIMMERS AND BEACH VISITORS.

It's not called the Pacific for nothing, but check again tomorrow. The storm is from the northwest so west facing beaches will get the brunt of the waves.

Sounds like it EB.Accuweather just shows Showers late tomorrow and early on Friday in our area. I love rain. Therefore I get so dissapointed when a storm is expected, and we only get 5 drops of rain!!
