Opponents of new Kosovo must be stopped (Joseph Biden Muslim BARF)
FT ^

Posted on 01/03/2007 5:32:21 AM PST by kronos77

Years of hand-wringing and chest-thumping over the future status of Kosovo may finally be drawing to a close. In the next few months, adroit diplomacy to secure Kosovo’s independence could yield a victory for Muslim democracy, a better future for south-east Europe and validation for the judicious use of American power.

But along with the potential for triumph in Kosovo, there is a growing risk that Serbia and Russia will conspire to seize defeat from the jaws of victory. Extremists in Belgrade and Moscow are – for very different reasons – hoping to use Russia’s United Nations Security Council veto to quash Kosovo’s bid for independence. If they succeed, the Balkans will emerge as another source of bad news in a world already crowded with crises.

During the seven years since Nato ended Slobodan Milosevic’s reign of terror in Kosovo, a UN-backed administration has largely succeeded in bringing stability to the province. However, Kosovo’s people are justifiably tired of a status quo marked by uncertainty and economic privation. These two intertwined problems will continue so long as the debate over the province’s future remains unresolved. Its ambiguous status is also leading to stagnation in Serbia.

Nationalist politicians in Belgrade have embraced the fight against Kosovo’s independence to divert public attention from their own failures and Serbia’s stalled bid for European Union membership. The actions of Vojislav Kostunica, Serbia’s prime minister, have been particularly disappointing. In addition to refusing international requests to call for the arrest of war crimes fugitives Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic, Mr Kostunica has rejected every attempt at compromise on Kosovo.

......adroit diplomacy to secure Kosovo’s independence could yield a victory for Muslim democracy.....

This card-carrying Dhimmwit has no idea what "muslim democracy" means. Here it is: to the islamist, "democracy" means you hold an election to vote in sharia law and islamist control. After the election is over, there will be no further elections, and tyranny and mass murder will run riot!!!!

This Dhimmwit piece of trash will not only be "chairperson" of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, but also will be running for President!! I was under the impression that both Senators and Presidents took an oath to defend our Constitution, including the Bill of Rights. That's totally incompatible with sharia law!!!!

And I also thought that they take an oath to defend our country against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. We have no worse enemies than the Muhammedan supporters of the caliphate!!!!

he is following the same path that Bush Sr. and the CIA to regenerate from an earlier operation/campaign, Clinton was the tool to make it happen and Bush Jr. to focus on Iraq, and allow the Kosovo campaign to continue its course to fruition.

"we continue to treat this pig with lipstick, called "an independent Kosovo" like it's a beauty queen -- even dumber in my book and it will come back to bite us."

lolol..:) I'm keeping this one for my records and future responses....so true and well put. Plus it had me laughing.

Serb PM vows anew to prevent Kosovo’s secession

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA (AP) – Serbia’s government leader ventured into the UN-run province of Kosovo early yesterday, and pledged in a New Year’s speech to prevent its secession. Arriving from Belgrade among heavy security, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met with members of the dwindling Kosovo Serb community that lives in the north of the contested territory. “Kosovo is the most precious part of Serbia,” Kostunica told several hundred Serbs who gathered to greet him. “Preserving Kosovo (as part of Serbia) is vital to Serbia’s future.” The UN spokesman in Kosovo, Neeraj Singh, said Kostunica was on a private visit to northern Kosovo and that the UN mission there was “duly informed” about it.

HERE IS A PILE TO USE FOR FERTILIZER: If one were to copy paste the "off the wall" comments to single out and analyze, in this article by what appears to be either someone laden with evil or, has been sleeping since 1993....and just woke up January 2, 2007.......

From an unnamed source....I received this today: and just in time as my source indicated in his/her message:

Thank you. I've found that most people have no clue about what has been going on in the Balkans. They don't know the difference between a Serb, an Albanian, a Kosovonian!?, a Kosovar!? or whatever other term they confuse with the region. Often they confuse the situation in Bosnia or other regions of the former Yugoslavia with the situation in Kosovo, so Croatians, Bosnian-Muslims, Bosniacs, and other terms they vaguely remember from the nightly news get thrown into the mix. Admittedly it can be a confusing subject to get a handle on. I like to use the Texas analogy because it is something that can easily be understood and is not too far fetched a scenario. It's unfortunate, but most people just remember pictures of wailing Albanian women and children from the nightly news. They believed all the hype from Clinton, Albright, and Wes Clark. Remember all the cheesy movies from the '90s that had the Serbs as the bad guys? Hey they were kinda like the Russians so it was easy to hate them. After all the Russians are our friends now, so we needed a new bad guy right?

Biden is an idiot. A moslem buffer state there IS a defeat.

Can't tell if Biden is
a useful idiot
an illiterate
indiffernet
parroting what someone else told him to parrot.

the arab street sees kosovo as the rebirth of the ottoman invasion and a foothold situation.

Biden's just trying to hold off his own defeat here. Kosovo is clearly Serbian territory. Time to get NATO out of the region and back in the barracks where they belong.

Or, maybe not even Albanians, and not even Moslems, nor even fascists ~ I'm thinking more along the lines of Joe having taken a bribe from the international heroin folks ~ that's why he wants Kosovo out of Serbia and the US out of the Middle East (including, ultimately, Afghanistan).

Entirely too many Democrats think their purpose in politics is to make the world safe for criminal enterprise.

This Pelosi woman and her counterpart in the Senate, Reid, certainly have their own Mob connections, so why shouldn't Biden.

The American public is going to rue the day they let the Democrats back into power.

The Financial Times is as bad as The Guardian and The Independent. More leftist pandering for Muslim terrorists.

The should rename it the New Marxist Financial Times.

British Labour is heavily pro-Albanian. Let's not forget that Blair was clinton's eager partner in the atrocities committed against Yugoslavia, and I'm sure he enjoyed it far more than his difficult partnership with Bush against Saddam.
