The Senate today confirmed 3 nominees to the US District Court
Sounds like the HR2 will pass. 10 days of posturing and bloviating so the bill can pass to the House.
Yeppers...the House bill has NO provisions for small businesses...and I heard Steny Hoyer say that they aren't going to change THEIR bill..
Soooooo...the conference is gonna be short. LOL
Can't they just go back to the house version in the conference? Do Republicans have any say at all during a conference committee meeting these days?
Kyl and Coburn are the only no's so far that I've heard.
Feingold is posturing for the camera. Clinton has a new old crusty, it is grey. (meow)
HR2...yeas 94...nayes 3...passed
Ms. Klobuchar, Byrd is the Senator from West Virginia, not Virginia.
Vote at 4:30pm on Monday on Warner/Levin amendment
Ha..speaking of...the old coot is up and requesting to hear the clerk
What are they voting on now? Madame Short Bus (cracked me up when you said that yesterday) gets me so confused.
Senate is voting on limiting debate on a motion to bring up a resolution on Iraq War Policy
No Senator voted in the affirmative
Then she names off a bunch of nayes.
Reid didn't think this vote was going to be necessary so I guess the pubbies wanted everyone on record for some reason.
Let what they so loosely call debate continue.
Rheo, my dog MUST go out NOW. Will you record the final vote please, if you can?
Surely can
Yeas 0- Nays 97 3/5 of the Sen duly chosen and sworn not having voted in the affirmative, Motion is not agreed to.
Usually they compromise or negotiate...but, if one side is really stubborn...the bill gets hung up..and it just kinda hangs around with no action.
In this case, I am not sure, but I think that the GOP on both the House and Senate can keep it from being cleaned of the small business part..
I will let you know if I find out different.
Didn't want your post to get lost in my ramblings.
I would like to know the process at this point also.
Ha..thanks
Thanks.
