Just in case anyone was wondering, here's a few shots of Iranian or Persian dress. Notice how the women tend to be covered, yet still maintain some fashion sense:



The "western dolls" comment in the OP refers to even more liberal styles of dress like this one, which is now common on the streets of Tehran:
In contrast, THIS is what the Arabs consider to be "high fashion", and is what the extremists want the women to wear for now:

And this is what their ultimate goal is (an 1800's style Arabic chador):
