Sad - guess that guy never bothered to read the four laws.

Why don't people understand that it's always wise to treat a gun as if they were loaded.

Yep. Gun safety is not rocket science, but it does require attention. I am fairly new to gun ownership (only a couple of years) but I was very impressed by the directness and simplicity of the gun safety course I took.

If you follow the rules, you cannot hurt yourself or others.

Most accidents occur with guns that are unloaded or that have their safety's on.

I always treat my firearms as if they are loaded.

Putting safetys on just encourages sloppiness and delays firing.
