I will listen. I know that former Presidents plan their funerals beginning sometimes shortly after they leave office. I do wonder when it was that President Ford asked Jimmy Carter to do this eulogy.

Though I can't stand Carter myself, it is in the healing character of President Ford to want his funeral to address both parties. I'm not happy about his choice, but it is his funeral and it is interestingly reminiscent of a time that we really don't seem to be able to return to.

A time when Democrats and Republicans could talk to each other and together accomplish things.
