Don't forget the Saturday Night Massacre......when Nixon fired the Attorney General, the next one quit and finally one stepped up and agreed to take the position.

Wish I could remember all the details but it was truly a time of madness.

I remember it very clearly - October of 1973. Nixon wanted the special prosecutor, Archibald Cox, to be fired, and he ordered his AG, Elliott Richardson to do it. Richardson refused and Nixon fired him. The Deputy AG also refused (Wm. Ruckelshaus), and Nixon fired him.

The Solicitor General was then made acting AG and was willing to obey Nixon and fire Cox.

Some guy named Robert Bork. Wonder whatever happened to him?

Compared to the more recent and numerous cases of arkanside, that's lost some of its vinagar.
