Oh and my daughter is a B+ student .. so I don't have the problem there
My problem is trying to figure out what she wants to do after high school and what she wants major in at college ..
This school offers many different subjects/electives to help guide their future career choices
She was all excited and wanted to sign up for a bunch of different things
I had to bring her back down to earth and tell her to pace herself and not to bite off more then she could chew .. especially in her first year
Now that sounds good.
I worked for a Neurologist from India at one time...and he told me that in India, they only go to a "public" school until after our equivilent of jr. high.
After that, they decided a career route and they go to a "university" that is for that....he wanted to be a doctor, so he basically went from jr. high school to medical school.
Of course they are very, very competitive there also..they have a high suicide rate for university kids...because it is considered disgraceful to get bad grades..and some kids have killed themselves over bad grades.
