I went to an agricultural school and took Large Animal/Poultry and meat cutting courses
Future Farmers, baby
Though some how I ended up working in a law firm .. Go figure
As for the requirements for my daughter's new school .. I don't think it's harder .. but they are very wordy in their booklets and my years at working for the law firm tell me not to assume anything .. which means .. I'll be calling the School Counselor *L*
Okay...
I know that in Texas, they voted a few years ago to add another year of Math..and another year of English.
Of course, the teacher's unions here HATE Pres. Bush...because when he was Governor, he put a stop to social promotion...and started testing the students to find out if they were ready to graduate...and then the teachers were given raises based on the performance of their students.
WeLL....that has created all kinds of havoc in Texas...but, I applauded it then....I do not believe in social promotion.
Too many kids were graduating illiterate..and unable to add or subtract.
