Just opened my can of blackeyed peas. Living in CA, I miss the restaurants Black Eyed Pea around Texas - they probably still give a free cup of blackeyed peas if you go there on New Year's Day.

Just got home from eating lunch at our Katy, TX "Black-eyed Pea" Restaurant and yes, they still give you a complimentary cup of black-eyed peas at the beginning of the meal for good luck. They were sooooo good!
