it is a "he", not "she":
"Master Sgt. Robert Ellis cared for the former Iraqi dictator from January 2004 until August 2005 at Camp Cropper..."

When Ellis told Saddam he had to leave for America because his brother was dying, Saddam hugged him and said he would be Ellis' brother. Mega-BARF!!!
Saddam would feed the birds crusts of bread saved from his meals. He also watered a dusty plot of weeds.
Yeah, Hitler liked puppies and Himmler was a chicken farmer.

>>Saddam told Ellis that cigars and coffee kept his blood pressure down, and it seemed to work. Saddam would insist that Ellis smoke with him.<<
Okay...whatever....One would think a "nurse" would know better.

These stories are inevitable.
Just like they Ford memorial stories are spun to make GWBush look bad,
It is inevitable that the humanity of the rank and file jail workers would be abused into america bad spin.

"He said everything he did was for Iraq,"
Who has all the links for the atrocities committed under his rule?
They need to be posted on a thread like this.
To: SolidWood
Just wanted to add, that my barf was directed only towards Saddam and the newspaper. Ellis did a good job, and God Bless him and his deceased brother.
But if Saddam would have hugged me (shudder!) and offered to be my brother (yikes!), I would have pushed him away and said that a genocidal mass-murderer would NEVER replace my brother.

Give me a break! I have had some really rotten patients (gang members and criminals) treat me with great respect because it was in their interest to make friends with their nurse. I was never suckered into believing they were nice.

Jeffrey Dahmer, The Son of Sam, the Preppie killer, etc all had a 'softer side' too- lots of violent psychopathic serial killers liek Saddam aren't always violent- BUT they ARE mass murderers at heart- what is your point Heir Nursie? http://sacredscoop.com

""He said everything he did was for Iraq," "
Thats why he used the oil for food money to buy golden thrones and palaces while the people of iraq starved and lacked basic medical supplies.

This is like the American Guard at Nuremburg who made friends
with Goering and smuggled him a cyanide pill. Saddam could be
charming. He used it on the nurse.
