BAGHDAD, Iraq - The death of a Texas soldier, announced Sunday by the Pentagon, raised the number of U.S. military deaths in Iraq to at least 3,000 since the war began, according to an Associated Press count.
Spc. Dustin R. Donica, 22, of Spring, Texas, was killed Thursday by small arms fire in Baghdad, the Defense Department said.
Yeah
Thank YOU!!!
CHIRP-CHIRP-CHIRP!
(Trolls are good imitators.)
"Donica was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division."
Not sure if he was from Fort Bragg or Fort Richardson.
Prayers up for him, his family, and his brothers in arms.
Shucks, if we only lost 3,000 in one battle, that was considered acceptable as well as a victory.
If we're going to have a discussion based on why some posters only like to post negative news about Iraq, shall we also have a discussion on why some posters only like to post positive news as well? Only seems fair.
I have family from Fort Bragg.
Believe me...they don't need any "help" from people who carry the enemy's propaganda.
The Pinkos say they pray for the troops as well....while secretly hoping for more deaths to exploit for their agenda.
This is a CONSERVATIVE forum, we're not neutral around here. The poster you describe wouldn't arouse suspicion of being a troll, now would he?
This site serves as a counter to all the negative news in the MSM. Isn't Katie and the alphabet networks negative enough for your viewing pleasure?
Bravo to you for finally banning that troll. Bravo!
God Bless our brave troops who make it possible for you to make this post!
Prayers for each of our departed, cherished soldiers and all of their comrades in arms. And prayers that our leaders find the wisdom to lead us and them to a victory that will make the world safer.
This news should make the liberals happy
Sending prayers for Spc. Dustin R. Donica and his family
There's not really much difference between a conservative and a liberal if both ignore reality when it clashes with their worldview. Conservatives are supposed to be the ones who think with their heads, not their hearts.
At any rate, the assessment is sound. The image of what appears to be a Mahdi Army death squad executing Saddam does not reflect well on us, or bode well for the future of Iraq. Implying that 5 year old FReepers may be trolls for raising this ugly but obvious point is unbecoming of what should be level headed conservative discourse.
What about 5-year old trolls that bash Bush constantly but praise Ann Richards and Lloyd Bentsen as being true conservatives?
The guy was implying that the US and the Iraqi government is in cahoots with terrorists (Hezbolla). Do you believe that?
I agree. This presents the image that the a death squad from the Madhi Army executed Saddam, not the impartial agents of a secular Iraqi state. While that's a fantastic development for al-Sadr, it's not a good sign for the future. Most Iraqis will take the symbolism at face value.
and what ARealMothersSonForever's reply to the same comment

Presents the image? Who are we to believe, CNN or our lying eyes and ears? Mookie directed Maliki to cooperate. The United States of America just sanctioned the ascension of Iranian Hezbullah to power. With Mookie and the Hezbullah Mehdi Army becoming the power broker and the enforcement arm. But hey, the Iraqi people got to vote in an Islamic "democracy".
"FReepers ban poster who announced 3,000 deaths
You won't find it on their page, but you can find the post and amazing (if predictable)response here (at least until it's removed): http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1760689/posts . The appalling exchange says it all. I can hardly add anything to the contempt decent people will feel upon reading the missives of these pathetic haters. These people are insane, and that includes their moderators.

Peaceniks always claim that they are NOT happy about such milestones. In fact, they are OH SO EAGER to repeat the milestones--as soon and as often as possibe--to anyone who will listen. What does this tell you about peaceniks? It tells me that they are scum.
