Addenda to #780: To do otherwise, i.e., to "split it off" -- would smack of Delphiesque "steering". ("Let's NOT let THIS stuff get on the table, or we're screwed! Say a kind word about it, suggest it merits further study, and then GET IT OUTTA HERE! Tell them to start up a separate meeting in a separate room -- and get someone in there to keep an eye on 'em!" :)
