Actual quote: (Warren) said Nichols' conversion stemmed more from necessity – "You gotta convert to Islam if you're (going to survive) in a prison" – than belief.

Nice effort. Though facts don't seem to make much difference on such threads.
This quote bothers me on several levels, not the least is Warren's kind of shrugging it off (and in the back of my mind is his visit to Syria)... but also what is going on in our prisons that isn't being publically discussed?
