Did you read the chapter of the book referenced? I would think the 7th verse might apply here.
7 He who keeps the law is a discerning son,
but a companion of gluttons disgraces his father.
But ultimately, I think the answer will depend on repentence.
So you do believe then that anyone who has abused drugs or alcohol is going to hell? I myself believe in the New Convenant.. but that's just me. Now, none of this is to defend Brown or his lifestyle, just to defend those who would condemn to hell others, while ignoring "judge not, lest ye be judged yourselves". But then again, that is New Testament also.
