Hi Killjoy-
There are also top-notch medical facilities in Chiang-Mai should there be need for overflow for injured people. Airlifted patients could be there in under an hour. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good luck for the victims.

Killjoy, thank you for your information that keeps us a bit ahead of the news. I realize that your nerves must be frayed at watching this unfold. Americans tend to deal with tragedy with nervous sophomoric humor that doesn't translate well in this medium. I was scared to death on 911 and I know I would not have appreciated moronic humor at that time.
If you have more information I would appreciate hearing it, hopefully others will be more sensitive.
