Four explosives went off almost simultaneously in Bangkok, injuring at least 20 people as the city people have just started to celebrate the New Year's eve.
One person was dead at the Big C supermarket, Sapan Kwai branch, where witness saw a man dropped a grenade from a pedestrian bridge, police said.
At least 20 were injured at the Victory Monument when a powerful bomb went off near a bus station.
At the Klong Toei area near the Na Ranong intersection, a bomb hidden in a trash can near a Chinese spirit shrine exploded and injured two bypassers. The explosion caused a secondary explosion to a number of cookinggas cylinders that were situated nearby.
At the Season Square Shopping Mall, a loud explosion went off at the parking space, creating a panic but no injury.

I think he's suggesting that, everytime a bomb goes off somewhere, it's not necessarily the work of Muslims. Yes, of course. The probability is only 99%.

It is wrong to cancel celebrations. This is exactly what the terrorists want to achieve.

Thank you for posting this thread. I for one appreciate knowing what is happening in other parts of this world during this time of war. Please continue to inform despite the juvenile comments of a few. When people are dying or being severely injured from terrorism is not the time for infantile humor.
With all respect.

NEARLY ALL violent conflicts in the world today involve Muslims attacking non-Muslims.
Here's why.

I take it as seriously as you do. I was simply explaining to killjoy.
Good grief.

Killjoy,
I am sorry if you misunderstood me.
The sarcastic comments about Lutherans, Unitarians, and mine ( Mormons) is in response to the bitter feelings we feel. We are tired of hearing that Islam is a "Religion of Peace".
Also,,,we are tired of having Judeo-Christian culture blamed in our politically correct media, schools, colleges, and universities as being the source of every evil since the birth of Christ.

So it appears they are purposely targeting foreigners.

It's hard to believe any reasonable person would try to dispute that obvious fact with a straight face.

You can stop the rant at any time - have done my fair share of hunting Abu Sayef while in the Straits of Mollacca, and the Celebese Sea.
The negativity is unnecessary.

Thank You, Killjoy,
This is the first time I've posted in this forum. But this thread is close to my heart on account of a friend of mine who has been living in Thailand for several years.
My friend was visiting a few months ago and I asked him what he thought of the Muslim violence and he told me he wasn't too concerned at the time because the violence had been confined, up until then, to only a few places in the south. I'll have to get in touch with him now and see if he still thinks that way. A lot has happened since his visit.
Thanks again, and I'm glad you haven't let a few loose remarks drive you away.
Good luck, and be safe in this New Year.

Must be those militant Unitarians. No, fundamentalist Unitarians would burn a question mark on your front lawn.
