Dunno. Just seems more civilized to look the other way. To me there is just something disturbing about the fact that there are people who get a kick out of watching other human beings die, no matter who or what they have done.

Some people need killin, that is obvious. I'm just kind of disappointed that people seek things like this out, just for a thrill. The Nick Berg video is a perfect case in point. Who wants to watch that kind of thing, and for what possible other purpose than a vicarious thrill?

And if you say, "So that we can see the true evil of the enemy we're up against" or some crap like that, I'll bop you on the noggin.

Well then I won't say anything like that.

I hope we all know the true nature of the enemy already.

Suppose a whacked-out crack head killed a family member of yours
and was caught by police, tried & convicted & summarilly executed.

Good on the system.

Would you prefer to read about it or to witness it?

I know, this does not speak to your point about folks flocking to see an execution, but it provides closure to those harmed.

While folks in Oklahoma or California or Texas may not have been
much harmed by Saddam, lots of other folks were and they have access
to these images, too. Good for them I say.
