Does anyone have the video in which Katie Couric was hoping that Saddam had escaped safely?
BBC - Saddam's Downfall: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/help/3681938.stm
I'm curious about the other two that were to be hanged along with Saddam. Did they go before or after?
Not a big deal, just wondering.

I don't know. I just found out that there were others.
Because he was such a gentleman, Saddam probably told them, "After you."
Great one. LOL! Guess I let myself open for that.
Empathy.
I'd prefer to kill the bastard myself.
Just as if there were a dog in my neighborhood attacking people, I'd be glad to shoot it dead.
But I am not gonna look around on the Internet trying to find video of mean dogs being killed.
I get no satisfaction of watching things die. And I think it's weird that other people do.
bewbs
That is probably the most retarded answer I will get.
Perhaps you missed the world-wide celebrations?
As you wish.
bad quality- but I got the gist. This is what the Iraqi government/US should be doing on a regular basis. Brutality and shame are the only weapons that work very effectively against this enemy. Unfortunatly, we continue to play the role of Roman army/Redcoat.
Yep, the shirts are on eBay -- http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&satitle=saddam+hussein+shirt
How about just putting the "unplug" add-on to your mozilla browser?
But aside from that, justice has indeed been served. With all due respect to the Cardinal of my Church who criticized this, there was no other remedy - in prison he would simply have acted as a magnet for plots and jailbreaks. And had he not been hanged swiftly, his victims' blood would have cried out from the ground.
I don't recall the Romans being exactly UN-brutal . . . what with all those crucifixions, feeding folks to the lions, gladiators, etc., not to mention burning down Carthage and salting the earth so nothing would ever grow there again . . .
No. And again, there is a difference between being happy for the Iraqi people, and wanting to watch another human being die.
Does watching an old man's neck break make you feel even more "empathy" for the Iraqi's?
Of course I have empathy for his victims. But that does not translate into a valid reason to watch a man swing, any more than I needed to watch the torture videos that were Hussein's doing to understand the enemy.
These two men were killed in Desert Storm from my county. Finally after 15+ yrs, they and other brave men and women who were killed in action are finally resting in peace because of the death of that madman.
The mother of all battles? Ha. Surely he lost this "battle" and rotting in hell as I type this.
You and others have a choice to watch these videos of Saddam. If you don't like it, don't watch it.
