Dec. 30, 2006 - Ali Al Massedy was 3 feet away from Saddam Hussein when he died. The 38 year old, normally Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's official videographer, was the man responsible for filming the late dictator's execution at dawn on Saturday. "I saw fear, he was afraid," Ali told NEWSWEEK minutes after returning from the execution. Wearing a rumpled green suit and holding a Sony HDTV video camera in his right hand, Ali recalled the dictator's last moments. "He was saying things about injustice, about resistance, about how these guys are terrorists," he says. On the way to the gallows, according to Ali, "Saddam said, Iraq without me is nothing."
Ali says he followed Saddam up the gallows steps, escorted by two guards. He stood over the hole and filmed from close quarters as Saddam dropped throughfrom "me to you," he said, crouching down to show how he shot the scene. The distance, he said, was "about one meter," he said. "He died absolutely, he died instantly." Ali said Saddam's body twitched, "shaking, very shaking," but "no blood," he said, and "no spit." (Ali said he was not authorized to disclose the location, and did not give other details of the room.)
Ali said the videotape lasts about 15 minutes. When NEWSWEEK asked to see a copy, Ali said he had already handed the tape over to Maliki's chief of staff. "It is top secret," he said. He would not give the names of officials in attendance, though he estimates there were around 20 observers. One of them, Iraqi National Security Adviser Mouwaffak al-Rubaie, told CNN that Saddam clasped a Koran as the noose was tied around his neck, and refused to wear a hood. He also said that government officials had not decided whether or not to

The reporter saw in his eyes the look of someone who knew they were about to slip into eternal torture- Saddam had a few short years of torturing others, now he is being subjected to many times the amount he dished out! http://sacredscoop.com
Interesting deal on hell there- Most pweople get to see the comfy bright lights in near death experiences- but not me- I had a VERY similiar experience to the ones listed on that site- when in the hospital- I developped peritinitis (sp?) and went into convulsions and had to be revived- well- during the convulsions I VIVIDLY experienced a very similiar experience- I slippped in to hell- was immediately surrounded by sand and heat, felt my lungs scorch and fill with sand, couldn't breathe, was panicking and being 'eaten alive' by insects- the sounds were horrible- then a voice broke through and had me count these sounds- I tried, but the sounds got faster and faster and I couldn;'t keep up- I began to weep- the voice broke through again and said 'don't worry son, there is nothing after death and at that point I felt an absolutely, completely unnexplainable nothingness- I didn't exist, nothign existed- it was absolutely wierd.
Anyway- I think maybe a lot of these 'near death' experiences happen when the brain goes haywire- in my case, I had a fever of 106, and I think being so close to death triggers hallucinations brought on by synapses going berzerk- obviously my experience of hell was not scriptural as I was 'let out' of hell and experienced a complete nothingness- but i gotta tell ya- for a 17 year old (at that time) kid, it really shook me for many years, and shook my faith- I was saved at the time, but what I experienced was obviously not biblical, but still quite something to handle. Satan had a field day with me that day and for years after. I realize salvation is eternal, but still- to go through somethign like that really does a number on ya.
Anyway- that's my experience- blah blah blah- thanks for listening. http://sacredscoop.com
Had they put the hood over his head, what was he going to do? Take it off?
Guess it was one of those 'last requests' being honored. (As if he deserved anything to be honored!)
Great definition, mind if I steal it??
Lucifer exist, and he does not "reward" anything. Once you get to Hell, there is nothing but suffering.
I have read several documented accounts of people who were resuscitated after being clinically declared dead.
All of them said there was no interaction with others, despite the fact that they knew there were billions of others there in torment. They could hear the screams in unison, and for some reason their senses were heightened and they could differentiate between the individual and the collective screams. They said it was unimaginable, and could not put into words how horrible it was.
That's the typical sociopath mentality, other people aren't really people, they're merely objects and any feelings they might have don't matter. Saddam just operated on a grand scale.
I agree with you, it's not something really to celebrate, it's simply sad that such a mad dog was allowed to run loose so long and kill so many. Finally, he/it is gone and should have been a long time ago.
There is a film about Hell experiences, and while they are similar, there are individual differences. None are pleasant.
I think your experience speaks to one circle of Hell.
And a good lesson for all of the other despots in the Middle East: See what just happened? Better change your ways because none of you are safe.

If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
thnaks Skypilot- The incident has left it's mark on my life- I still have the medical problem that caused the peritinitis & I get quite ill (I've got Crohn's disease) and with the illness, I get fevers alot and tend to get hallucinations when I get real ill- When htis happens, My mind gets freaking out and reflecting on that incident & I get to really doubting my Salvation at tiems- Satan sure knew where to strike at me- quite effective I must say.
None of the videos I've seen actually show him hanging. They all stop when the noose is put around his neck and some show him laying dead later on. It's a bizarre thing to see.
"Doth it seem to thee incredible, that God should be so utterly regardless of the sinner's welfare, as to sink him into an infanite abyss or misery? Is this shocking to thee? And is it not at all shocking to thee that thou shouldst be so utterly regardless as thou hast been to the honour and glory of the infinite God?" ___Johathan Edwards
I assume that your sarcasm is meant as an argument against the existence of God, or at least an argument against the existence of Hell. I can't tell which. Edward answers the latter pretty well by showing the inconsistency and depravity of the sinner who would put God on trial. Regarding the former, though, an allegation of deficiency in God's sense of justice implies an objective standard of justice, a standard that cannot be accounted for in a universe devoid of God. In such a universe where would such a standard come from? The universe is what it is. What reason would there be to expect that an impersonal, materialistic universe ought to have features of "justice" and principles of moral obligation and proportionate punishment in the first place? A measuring stick has to be different than the thing measured. So what is the universe being compared to when something about it is thought to be wrong with it? Without God there is not the necessary ground of human freedom and dignity in the first place to provide any basis for an expectation of justice or a complaint about its absence.
Where did you get this sense of justice from? If God made the world he also made the standard by which you judge Him to be unfair. Not a very smart move on your part, imo. If on the other hand the universe made itself out of nothing, it also made the standard by which you judge it to be unfair. What sense does that make? How can you can trust in the validity of a standard of the very universe that you accuse in some respect of perfidy?
Cordially,
satan doesn't honor anybody, nor is he impressed by even the most evil of sinners... he just wants to take as many souls with him as he can... there are no rewards... Sadaam is not going to hear the words, "well done," from Satan...
I am not a believer in "hell" as illustrated on that page.
Nor do I believe that non-believers in JC are "lost".
A Happy New Year to you also.
