You've done a great job describing the possible diagnoses, but clinton dysfunction is so pervasive, making a diffential diagnosis is virtually impossible.
All we need to know is that they are mentally unfit to serve. To categorize their dysfunction is almost beside the point. We come to bury the clintons, not to cure them.
CORRECTION: make that 'differential diagnosis.'
The are incapable of service!
Touché
I have NOT "...come to cure them..."
I have come to point out that as far as real psychiatry is concerned, these two (2) are certifiably sick. In fact, they cannot be cured! The Personality Disorders are T-H-E most resistent to therapy, medicine, etc.; i.e., they will never respond to any treatment to "fix" them.
Than being said, here her the Diagnositic criteria for the Borderline personality Disorder:
"A pervasive pattern of instability of interpersonal relationships, self-image, and affects, and marked impulsivity beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (5) (or more) of the following:
(1) FRANTIC EFFORTS TO AVOID REAL OR IMAGINED ABANDONMENT (NOTE: Do not include sucidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5.) (Both Bill and Hillary Clinton);
(2) A PATTERN OF UNSTABLE AND INTENSE INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS CHARACTERIZED BY ALTERNATING BETWEEN EXTREMES OF IDEALIZATION AND DEVALUATION (Both Bill and Hillary Clinton);
(3) IDENTITY DISTURBANCE MARKEDLY AND PERSISTENTLY UNSTABLE SELF-IMAGE OR SENSE OF SELF (Both Bill and Hillary Clinton);
(4) IMPUSLIVITY IN AT LEAST TWO AREAS THAT ARE POTENTIALLY SELF-DAMAGING (e.g., SPENDING, SEX, SUBSTANCE ABUSE, RECKLESS DRIVING, BINGE EATING ( Note: Do not include sucidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5) (Both Hillary and Bill Clinton);
(5) RECURRENT SUCIDAL BEHAVIOR, GESTURES, OR THREATS, OR SELF-MUTILATING BEHAVIOR; (I suspect that Both Bill and Hillary Clinton have engaged in the "threats")
(6) AFFECTIVE INSTABILITY DUE TO A MARKED REACTIVITY OF MOOD (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days) (Both Bill and Hillary Clinton);
(7) CHRONIC FEELINGS OF EMPTINESS (Both Bill and Hillary Clinton);
(8) INAPPROPRIATE, INTENSE, ANGER OR DIFFIDULTY CONTROLLING ANGER (e.g., frequent displays if temper, CONSTANT ANGER, RECURRENT PHYSICAL FIGHTS) (Both Bill and Hillary Clinton);
(9) TRANSIENT, STRESS-RELATED PARANOID IDEATION OR SEVERE DISSOCIATIVE SYMPTOMS (Both Bill and Hillary Clinton)
Remember, each of them only require five (5) of these nine (9) to receive this diagnosis. How would you diagnosis each of them given both the Antisocial and the Borderline Personality Disorders?
I would diagnose them both with enough characteristics (criterion) from both disorders to have both disorders.
Back with the Histrionic Personality Disorder later!
