What you are seeing in this story is what is taking Europe's place.

I'm being sarcastic, but clearly, the fact that old Europe is being overrun by Muslims, and may go into eclipse because of it, is due to the likelihood that Europe is culturally and spiritually exhausted. There is no will left in Europe, apparently, and no sense that Europe stands for anything worth defending.
