A question about the pictures on yahoo. Is it usual for a person who has just been hanged to have normal coloration in their face, no bulging eyes, etc?
When somebody dies by hanging in the way Saddam was hanged (i.e., the "drop" style, as opposed to being hoisted), his neck is broken. He's not asphyxiated. It happens very quickly. I wouldn't expect his eyes to be bulging or his color to be different from anyone else who died from a broken neck.
