Are only Iraqi victims allowed to rejoice tonight or are those of us who family members risked their lives to free the Iraqi people also permitted?

I just want to understand your rules.

My stepson left his pregnant wife back home and went to Iraq in 2003 and he wants to go back. Am I permitted to rejoice?

Yes, we have a right to rejoice - if for no other reason, that their sacrifice will not have been in vain. Saddam is deposed, tried, and delivered to justice.

For all those veterans, contractors, military families, and policy makers who have worked for this day - from the Persian Gulf War onward, until today - there is reason to rejoice. Saddam Hussein will never again torment the people of Iraq...
