You're probably right-- personally, I thought the same thing when we "captured sadaam"-- I figured that meant "Sadaam has been shot in the head and pushed off the back of an aircraft carrier..." but I was wrong...
I don't think the US has actually handed them over-- if so, there's definitely US intel involved on the Iraqi side so as not to lose him... IMHO...

The handover was successful because, with so many GPS devices shoved up his butt, there was no way he could "wander off".

Remember that little boy and his family held hostage by Saddam during Desert Storm?
CNN showed him patting the little boy on the head and inquiring if the little fellow was getting his milk.
I would love to see that "Little" boy, now a grown man, standing on the gallows patting Saddam on the head and asking him if the rope was too tight.
