Like a dutiful dancing partner, Senator Barack Obama has begun courting the evangelical right, and some are already waltzing along in perfect time.
With his attendance at Rick Warrens church, Saddleback Valley Community, a mega-church in California for a large conference about AIDS, Obama has begun to align himself with an important base of voters to gain what conservatives lost this last year. Already lauded by some prominent evangelical publications for his outstanding "Christian faith" and a person Rick Warren called a "good friend" and a someone he'd like to work with on important issues, Obama is in perfect position, if he can keep the momentum, to use an unusual strategy for political gain.
Obama has become well-known not only for his charisma and sudden rise to fame in the last few months, but for his outspoken Christian faith to which he refers regularly.

Luk owt 4 the speling poleese. ;-)
A lot of things are being called "Christian" these days. Down is becoming up, wrong is becoming right. Eventually most people won't even know the difference.
There are lots of judges besides those in the Supreme Court. And yes, there is no guarantee how the USSC will vote. That's why it is just as important for Federal District Court and Apellate Court judges to be appointed by a pro-life President. There is no need for a President to be an activist pro-life candidate. It is more important to elect pro-life congresspersons in the House of Representatives and in the Senate, backed up with pro-life strict Constitutionalist judges. There is no room for a pro-abortion President in the Republican party, that is why so many of us resist Rudy Giuliani and his ilk.

Touche!
I am not too worried.
Why? He's peaking too early. He'll crash and burn.
Matthew 24
23 "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There!' do not believe it. 24 For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you beforehand.
correction, fingers were too fast. preheat=prophet.
PING!
A similar situation happened in Maryland and Steele still lost.
Part of the point was that it IS possible for people to be mislead. The ones involved in trickery are good. Very good. We have to take heed what we hear. I don't consider Warren to be a prophet, but a teacher. And I do consider him to be a false one.
I grew up in the south & the Southern Baptist church ain't what it used to be.
>Who is managing this guy? There has to be someone in the background calling shots.<
Untried so unproven, this very young man with stars in his eyes and a boyish grin. The same gang that has been managing presidents for at least 100 years is still pulling the strings. This guy is an appealing puppet dancing to their evil tune. Being introduced to the church by a false prophet may induce some Christians to fall in line, but there will always be those. Let us pray that most don't buy Warren's "feel good" approach.
Note this about the American Thinker from their "about" section: There is no limit to the topics appearing on American Thinker. National security in all its dimensions, strategic, economic, diplomatic, and military is emphasized. The right to exist and the survival of the State of Israel are of great importance to us. Business, science, technology, medicine, management, and economics in their practical and ethical dimensions are also emphasized, as is the state of American culture"
What Pastor Warren's real sin was he went to Syria and made some perfunctory positive remarks about the regime full well knowing the Christians from Iraq have found sanctuary in Syria. Admittedly, Syria and Assad are not open minded and tolerant but they have give sanctuary of a sort.
Ditto for Obama. With the Syria thing above as well as other matters it is apparent for the fierce Israeli partisans on this and other Web Sites will fight tooth and nail to keep the Evangelicals in the fold.
The problem for the Israeli Bots is 80% of the nonobservant Jews vote RAT and one can not turn around without some nonobservant suing some little town or city for having a creche' in the town square.
The Israeli BOTs IMHO are about to face a come uppance. Wanting Israel to succeed does not mean we have to hate either Muslims or Arabs. Further, there is increasing concern about the anti-religious efforts of nonobservant Jews--richos especially including Soros on down. We know who yor are!
The Evangelicals have been loyal but may, I say only may, be drifting off and for good reasons.
In light of the fact that Obama absolutely trounced Alan Keyes with 70% of the vote compared to Keyes laughable 27%, your statement borders on the absurd.
"You don't know anything about real Evangelicals. They would never vote for a Democrat of any color."
Black Evangelicals and fundemntalists do vote for Dem's very commonly. Some of thm don't but nost of them do.

How does that go? Something like, A celebrity is someone famous for being well known.
