He could actually feed many starving children with the money he spent on that new Nintendo Wii for his son! :)

Poverty in the USA....cell phones, big screen TV's, cars, washers & dryers etc. etc.
Those who are truly in need and can't fend for themselves should be helped. Remember the Katrina sites..able bodied young people....too lazy to get a real job.

Edwards might as well use for his slogan "give me your tax money, and I will give some of it back to you, the rest of it I'll waste". Edwards represents the victim-mentality segment of Americans who can't understand that people can rise out of dire circumstances on their own. Which is why, of course, they're liberals.

"poverty"

He claims it the same way the libs claim hunger is a problem. You want to shake these people and say "for crying out loud, look around you. Where are the hungry people in America?". The government has revealed statistics proving that the fattest segment of the American population are the people in the lowest third of the income distribution. It's all about having an agenda and creating dependents.

This needs to be crossreferenced:

Edwards sells Georgetown home for $5.2M -- http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1759555/posts

Edwards, the Democrats' vice presidential nominee in 2004, purchased the P Street property for $3.8 million in 2002 and extensively renovated it.

After his two younger children finished the 2004-05 school year, the Edwards family returned to North Carolina, where Edwards built a new home on a 100-acre estate in Chapel Hill.
