Yes he was. He was the leader of the loser party of that time. The dems were seen as the "party of the future" and conservatism was announced as dead. He took the baton from the loser of all losers of the republican party when they were at their lowest in direction and ideas. It wasn't until the goldwaterites and Buckley republicans took over the party from that bunch of losers that the republicans started to win.

Actually, despite the hammering of Watergate, Ford came back almost won the 1976 election. He would have won had it not been for the pardon. The GOP made big gains in Congress in 1976.

The troll said 'Good riddance' to Gerald Ford, and called him a loser.

He was most certainly NOT a 'loser' in the sense that said troll intended it to mean.
