Not Even Cold

He couldn't even wait for President Ford to be buried. Bob Woodward breathlessly informs us that President Ford was opposed to war in Iraq -- and, conveniently, didn't want that opinion to be released until he was dead.

Congratulations, Woodward -- you waited a full 36 hours before releasing the information.

Interesting that we are constantly informed by the MSM that our country is "divided" -- but then, on one of the few occasions when people of all politial stripes should be able to put their differences aside out of respect for the deceased, someone like Woodward lobs a figurative grenade into the crowd of mourners.

Forget the messenger. He is scum, but at least he waited for the body to begin cooling. He should have waited until the funerals are over, which would be a week or so, but he has no apparent concept of history.

We should be dealing with the Ford opinion. It's there, it's big, and it's up for grabs.

Actually, I don't believe this is one of Woodward's posthumous interviews. Ford was famous for not wanting to criticize his successors, he may have felt that doing so from the grave was not such a big deal. Me, I would have figured that criticism is criticism.

Woodward couldn't wait to toss repectful rememberance of Gerald Ford, a decent man, under the bus of partisan political meaness. Even though such behavior is now expected from the likes of Woodward and other leftists like him, one can't help but be reminded of a heavy question, once asked in another political era -- "Have you no decency, sir?"

Don't beleive anything Bob Woodward writes. Almost none of it is verifiable and I for one, think he makes most of it up. I think he's a scumbag deluxe.

That may be what Woodward says but that isn't what Ford said. Ford says the justification was wrong, not that going to Iraq was unjustified.

Read closely, or listen to the actual (horribly recorded) tape.

Woodward is a FRAUD.
