Hunter is the ONLY hope the Republicans have for a government run on Republican principles and core American values.
Mitty is a liberal who changes his tune to fit the occasion.
McCain is a loose cannon and an egocentric traitor who simply does not deserve the title.
JulieAnnie is homophilic, pro-abortion, pro-illegal invaders, anti-gun, egomaniacal and has a long record of treachery regarding support for candidates of the party he allegedly claims he wants to represent.
If either of the three RINOS get nominated, Republicans would serve their philosphies and America best by voting for a good third party candidate, hoping the Democrat wins, and try to get a meaningful alternative party to the Bosheviks in the Democrat party established.
Great post and worth repeating.
The New Jersey experience has shown me that electing liberal Republicans is actually WORSE in the long run than electing socialist democrats. Why? Because liberal Republicans, once in power, staff the party machinery with other liberals--making it well-nigh impossible for future conservatives to climb the ladder. Worse, if a conservative does manage to climb the ladder despite this opposition from within the party, the liberal Republicans promptly desert him in the general election.
This is why I will NEVER vote for a liberal Republican like Rudy McRomney for president. I want the GOP to be a conservative alternative--not a pale reflection of the Democrat/Socialist party.

( Rudy McRomney as the GOP nominee = President Hillary. Why else do you think the media loves them?)

The nuke option would have restored Constitutional intent.
CFR is contrary to the 1st Amendment. That makes it wrong. It is an end-around the freedom of speech and that injures everyone.

You and I will just have to differ on that.
I understand that Hunter has an uphill battle. I just do not think it is impossible...not with all the tools of modern media that are available.
I would rather try and fail to elect Hunter, then throw up my hands at the outset because I have a preconceived notion that I can't change history and all is gloom and doom.
Never take counsel of your fears!

One does not have to agree with their policies to recognize their abilities. I would have to add Truman, FDR and McKinley to the list. Maybe even Polk.

Constitutional intent is that the Senate create its own rules not that you like them.
CFR is not contrary to the first amendment and barely impacts individuals at all. It does restrict political parties which were not considered in the first amendment.
One must be a real idiot to be constrained by the CFR.

To be honest I don't think Gore is going to run. I don't think he wants to as much as the ultra left wants him to. I am not too sure Obama will run. I am positive Hillary will run. It will be Hillary vs. Edwards in 2008 primary. What fun for the lizard to bite the head of the Ken Doll.

One can indulge in all manner of quixotic endeavors and I would happily vote for Hunter. But realism is a valuable asset in politics and expending great efforts on long shots is not necessarily a good thing.

I was perplexed. Seems he predicted Gore to get the nom and then changed his mind.

In reality, the choices are Hobsonian. I vote for Rudy if he can win the primaries. My fear is I will have to vote for St. John over the dreaded Dem lefty. Perhaps St. John will pick a great conserv as a VEEP.
To: areafiftyone
What am I to do? I don't like anyone running on either side, Democrat or Republican. I guess I'll do what my only choice will be, that is, vote for the lesser of two evils in the General Election.

"Fine...you win."
I'm #1, I'm #1, I'm #1. :^) just kidding. I look forward to watching all this develop. Hopefully Republicans can stay away from nastiness and eventually get behind the candidate of the majority. Call me out should I stray into uncalled for insults.

You're probably right about FDR and Truman and certainly Polk who gave us the southwest.
Why McKinley? Didn't TR maneuver him into the Spanish American War?

Well, someone has to be #1! LOL! I mean besides the Buckeyes.
Now, if you will excuse me, I have some windmills to tilt at.
PS - never known you to be insulting...just firm in the strength of your own convictions. :)
