Don't mistake a lack of possession with a lack of emotional committment. Remember this exchange?
Obi-Wan: You were the chosen one. It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them. You were to bring balance to the force, not leave it in darkness.
Anakin Skywalker: [shouts] I hate you.
Obi-Wan: You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you.
Some love. Along with the rest of the Jedi Council, Kenobi, while not personally approving, directs Skywalker to spy on Chancellor Palpatine. He uses Anakin's wife to get to Mustafar, and does nothing to correct the impression that she knowingly betrayed her husband. And he did go there to kill him.
When Skywalker went to Yoda for advice, all he got was Jedi bromides about detachment, etc. And let's not forget that the Jedi Council initially didn't want Kenobi to take him on as a Padawan - because he was too old, i.e had developed family attachments.
Personally, I prefer the Sith.
