If the U.S.Navy has decided that are going to decommission the JFK,they are doing it for a reason,It cost to much to run.

No, they're decommissioning her because she's too worn out to keep in service. During the 70's and 80's the Navy undertook a series of major overhauls called Service Life Extension Programs (SLEP). This was basically a 2 plus year rebuilding of the carrier. The JFK, being the newest, was the last to be scheduled for a SLEP and when her turn came they cancelled it and did a less comprehensive overhaul instead. As a result, the last I heard the JFK couldn't operate fixed wing aircraft because her catapaults and arresting gear was unsafe. In order to bring her up to snuff it would take two years and hundreds of millions of dollars that the Navy just doesn't have.

You just basically proved my point.It cost to much to run the ship as well as to maintain her. Thank You.
