And like President Reagan, President Ford still acted presidential AFTER leaving the White House, unlike two other unicycle riding clowns I can think of.

I hear ya..

Former Presidents Carter, left, George Bush, and Gerald Ford, right, laugh as President Clinton speaks during a photo session in front of a replica of the White House at the George Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas, Thursday, Nov. 6, 1997, prior to the library dedication ceremonies. Gerald R. Ford, who picked up the pieces of Richard Nixon's scandal-shattered White House as the 38th and only unelected president in America's history, has died, his wife, Betty, said Tuesday Dec. 26, 2006. He was 93. (AP Photo/Susan Walsh)

How is he the "only unelected president"? Andrew Johnson wasn't elected.

President Ford was a good man. He had a heavy burden to carry, and he carried it. Your observation about his dignity after leaving office is very true.

May Light Perpetual Shine upon him now and forever.
