The writer of that link (about declining MA population) didn't seem to think that Romney was part of the problem at all. In fact, he argued that it's all the liberals (activist judges and the Dem Legislature) that are a huge part of the problem. The article also said: A statistical blip this ain't. Not counting foreign immigrants, Massachusetts has been losing more people than it attracts every year since 1990, according to MassINC, a Boston-based research institute. During the 12 years from 1990 to 2002 -- the excess of people leaving Massachusetts over those entering -- was 213,000, and the hemorrhaging has only gotten worse since then. I'm sure that in the Post 9/11 world the amount of foreign immigrants to MA has fallen and could be a part of why it's dipped recently.
