Pelosi's Party Pigout

Political Excess: Behind Nancy Pelosi's four days of revelry celebrating her speakership is a carefully crafted purpose. But if her background is any indication, all that public relations may end up backfiring. On one day, a street will be named after her in Little Italy in Baltimore, where her father served as mayor. On another, Tony Bennett will serenade her at an Italian Embassy banquet with "I Left My Heart in San Francisco." The Italian motif is apt, because the bacchanalia taking up most of next week in Washington will be a lot like the Roman Empire's legions marching into newly conquered territory: Pelosi's Democrats are letting America know there's a new boss in town.

She's already made 2 missteps and it appears that she intends to keep right on making them. That makes no difference. She knows she's got at least two years to do whatever she wants. Who's going to stop her?
Considering where she's from (San Fran, CA) she doesn't have to worry about not being reelected.
In my mind, she's got it made!

What's really scarey is that the b**** is two heartbeats away from the Presidency.
God forbid.

Good grief! Why is all of the ridiculous excess of this event lost on Pelosi? Just how gigantic is her ego? Somehow I am reminded of that scene in Cleopatra when Elizabeth Taylor arrives triumphant in Rome pulled on a enormous barge by a multitude of slaves.

I am pretty sure most of this wil be privately funded by the many Democratic billionaires.
I know that some of it will be and one of the events is (of course) a fundraiser. I not as sure as you that most will be privately funded.

That makes no difference.
I know that it doesn't make a LOT of difference, but it does make some. Surprisingly, some in the treasonous MSM are watching her closely and calling into question her decision-making ability. Her initial choices of Murtha and Hastings for key posts did not set well and a lot of folks are now watching her closely.
While it may be so much blather, continued missteps will give the Republicans a lot of ammunition for '08 and also call into question the ability of a woman (such as Hillary) to be in charge of a major government body. IMO, a lot of people will gauge Hillary's ability to be president based on Pelosi's performance.

No fireworks on the Mall? No parade? No inaugural balls?
Geese, can't these dimms do anything right?

This reminds me of that scene in "Aladdin" (the Disney cartoon) when they have the extravagant arrival for Prince Ali

Do you know when this "party" is set to begin?

The long tradition of flying all State and National flags at half mast in honour of a leader who has past on will have a double meaning for me personally this time.
1. The main one in honour of President Gerald Ford
2. Secondly as a message to pelosi and her clan letting them know what half the nation think of their lying and cheating that enabled them to steal the election by dishonest means.
I can just imagine the repairs she's having to have done to all the cracks in that Botox cement face that had to have appeared when she was told of the news about the passing of President Ford.
