Hillary's New Strategy: The Mom President
FOX ^ | Dick Morris and Eileen McGann

Posted on 12/25/2006 10:11:17 PM PST by Coleus

“We’ve never had a mother who ever ran or was elected president…”

That was Hillary Clinton speaking earlier this week, when she appeared on the television show The View. Don’t think for a minute that she was just making an interesting historical observation. No, Hillary doesn’t work that way. She never says or does anything that hasn’t been perfectly scripted and endlessly polled beforehand. She had a message, a new strategy to try out. So look for the new “Mom Strategy” to be the anchor of her presidential run.

Forget Soccer Moms and Security Moms; now it’s going to be all Moms all the time — with Hillary as the biggest Mom of all.

The “Mom Strategy” is key to presenting the latest iteration of Hillary. She needs to move out of the center space that she populated in her last reincarnation as a moderate. That’s over. Because democratic primary voters are squarely at odds with her positions on the war in Iraq, she needs to move on. The “Mom Strategy” gives her a credible way to tack to the left on the war. She’s already begun. Last week, she told an NPR audience that she would have voted against the war if only she had known then what she knows now. Woulda, shoulda, coulda.

In furtherance of the new Mom strategy, she has re-released her best-selling book It Takes A Village. This time, she is pictured surrounded by adoring, well-groomed and respectful children on the cover. Just like Mom. This is no coincidence; it’s an element of the strategy. The subliminal message: I’m a Mom and I’m running for president. Moms take care of people, they’re compassionate and don’t want wars. The fact that the book isn’t selling well in its re-release

"Well she is a "Mother". ( I left off a few letters )" I agree and I'm glad you did it this way. I wouldn't have been a good speller.

Morgan Stewart's Coming Home

This is an 80's movie that hillary will hate if it gets much airplay before the upcoming election.

It's a story about a teenage boy (Jon Cryer) who's been stuck in boarding school for several years because his parents are too busy for him. His father is a senator running for office on a "Family First" platform, so he is brought home to fill the role of son. The mother, Lynn Redgrave, is hillary...a shrew. The senator is an idiot.

The scene to be framed as clintonesque is one in which the son sees a life-size cardboard picture of his parents and there is a silhouette, cut-out shape between them in which there is posted, "PUT SON HERE." The son realizes why he has been allowed to come home--he is an election prop.

It might better match the clinton's, however, if it didn't have an ending in which the parents become kind humans.

Hillary: “When I decided to get us a baby back in Arkansas, it helped get my husband back into the Governor’s Mansion! And when my husband was running for re-election as President, I started a rumor that we were thinking of having another baby! Something Dole just could no longer do! And now when my campaign needs another trick to feminize me, I want to remind you that I DID carry a child to term! And raised her! Look at my Chelsea! If I were only a few years younger I’d go find Webb and get another baby on the way, I truly would! Aren’t I MATERNAL? Aren’t I?”

If you want a true and correct opinion of a person's character, do you ask his mom?

Hillary, who was named after Sir Edmund Hillary before he climbed Mount Everest, will get the vote of the findaword classes, and there are many of them out there! Perhaps there should be an IQ test for voters.

She also told the Code Pink wackos that her vote to invade Iraq was based on her experience in the White House and Senate and it was not based on the reasons President Bush presented to Congress.
(And yes, there is a video of it in case anyone forgot).

“Hillary’s New Strategy: The Mom President”

Many in our nation believe the govt exists to take care of them, so this may be a good strategy.
Sad how our Founders ideas have been bastardized by some.

"It's hard to tell who I find more revolting--Hillary or Morris."

Could you just envision for a moment Dick Morris sucking on Hillary's toes?
