My rant was strictly about the lack of republican support in the 06 election which directly resulted in the defeat of America to the socialist agenda. It now gets worse. The weakest part of the Bush presidency is his immigration stance (as well as the rest of his big giverment approach to problems). By electing democrats in 06 we played into his weakness by allowing him to act on it.
This bothers me greatly about republican/conservative schism. Many big money republicans (global free traders) are invested in this North American Union thing. I think Bush thinks he sees a bigger picture on the immigration thing, i.e. how it fits into this new north American alliance. One big continent, free trade free access, no boarders, new currency (ameros). This, as Rush said, will be the undoing of the republican party. Conservatives and globalists can't live in one tent. There's trouble in river city.
