Roosevelt Island sits in the East River, with a view of the United Nations. The residences are part of a quiet enclave with a riverside promenade, just a few minutes from high-rent Midtown.
The apartment in question, a three-bedroom unit on the ninth floor, appears from the outside to have a river view looking out on Manhattan...
Market rates...about $4,500 a month.
A subsidized apartment... under $2,000 a month.

Kofi, the crook and the con artist. Not a smart one, but transparent and permitted to steal millions while onlookers gawk, sit and do nothing.

I saw a CNN International report the other day (it's either CNN or BBC) that was referring to KA as the SG of the UN even after he had stepped down. I guess they didn't get the memo.

Exactly. And the real outrage is that the UN, in general, is so corrupt nothing is done when the evidence of bribe-taking is so blatant.

Can you imagine the uproar if the U.N leader had been a Bush appointed person who did the things Kofi 'can do no wrong' anan did? My gosh the world would crucify the U.S- Yet Kofi gets rewarded with not one but two multi-million dollar pensions and a swanky retirement package deal. The sad thing is that the one person who was doing anything about investigating fraud was so villified by the democrats that he couldn't get re-elected- Makes you ownder who the dems are rooting for? http://sacredscoop.com
