People aren't killing each other for money. There are things no gun control law will stop. Even if Philadelphia banned guns, it would do nada to the homocide rate. Just look at Washington, D.C to see how well that has worked there.

If you look at Europe, the gun bans often result, unsurprisingly, in a huge rise in the rate of non-homocide violent crimes like rape or robbery.
