I would not doubt that at all. Spices are perfect for long-distance trade. Small volume, imperishable, high value. Jade art objects would come in second.

LOL, it was the Tocharians who supplied all the jade to the ancient Chinese dynasties. I'm waiting for some Peruvian jade to 'turn-up' there, that'll be the clincher.
